Big Orange Racers Clinch Majestic Cycling Series

Big Orange racers, Anthony Freeman and Brian Mitchell, capped off the Southern California race season at the LaVerne Grand Prix on August 14 by clinching the yellow jerseys in their respective race categories. The yellow jersey for the Majestic Race series is awarded based on total race points earned during the season. Finishing first in a race earns more points than second and so on. They each won their first races of the year and were able to defend their yellow jerseys through the entire season. Holding the jersey from the first race through the last is a difficult challenge that requires racers to not only be strong and fast, but consistent through the year.

Both racers put in a lot of hard work before the year began to get ready for the season and throughout the year to remain in top form. They were also aided by Big Orange teammates that played crucial supports roles. Anthony Freeman, who won Masters 45+, was aided by Robert Itoh. Brian Mitchell, who won Masters 35+, was aided by John Cunningham and Brandon Poser.

In addition to the champion spots, another Big Orange racer earned the top spot on the podium when James Wright got his first race win. We congratulate all of the Big Orange racers on a great season.
